You Are Loved, Known, and Held by God: A Devotional with Scripture

Introduction

There are moments in life when silence surrounds you, when even your own prayers feel like whispers into the void. You’ve cried in the quiet, lain awake in the dark, and questioned your worth, your purpose, and even God’s presence. Here we go, spoken from the very heart of your Creator: You are seen. You are deeply loved. And you are not alone.

Some of you may be able to relate to what I am about to share with you. It was a Saturday morning and I was thirsty for a word from God. I sat down at my Bible study desk in order to spend some time with the Lord and I was on my computer looking on a bible study site, but I got distracted, and ended up on YouTube somehow. A video popped up and it was titled "The Shift." During this time in my life, I was feeling that I was going through a shift, and God was shifting me from one season to the next. I was getting excited about the new season, but also a little nervous because the season that I have been in for a couple years was very hard, and I knew that guy was bringing me out so that I can experience the sun again. The Holy Spirit had been talking with me and showing me some things and I felt that this video showing up in my timeline was another message from the Holy Spirit. So you know God talks to us in different ways so I decided to listen to this message. I must say that this video was right on point and I felt it was truly a prophetic word. I want to share a summary with backing scripture of it with you in hopes that you too will be blessed by it the way that I am.

I Saw You – God’s Presence in Your Pain

God was there in every moment you thought you were forgotten. When the tears rolled silently, when rejection wounded your heart, and when others misjudged or misunderstood you ;he was not absent. "When you were crying in your room, when your heart broke in silence, I was holding you." Even when no one else understood your struggles, He did. Every sigh, every hidden pain, and every moment of despair was seen. You never suffered unnoticed. He collected every tear; not one was wasted.

Psalm 56:8 – "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."

I Chose You – Loved Before You Believed in Yourself

Before you had the strength to stand, before you made any achievements, He chose you. Not because you were strong, perfect, or holy but because He created you in love, for love. "I chose you before you chose Me. I saw value in you before you believed you had any." This is not conditional love. It’s not based on performance, achievement, or perfection. It is unconditional, unwavering, and eternal. God doesn’t love a future version of you ; He loves you as you are right now.

Jeremiah 1:5 – "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."

I Have a Purpose for You – Even in the Waiting

The delays, the detours, the long nights that seemed to lead nowhere ; they weren’t pointless. God has been working in the background, shaping your character, strengthening your faith, and preparing the ground for something more beautiful than you can yet see. "Nothing has been wasted. Your waiting is not denial. Your pain has purpose." You may have questioned the timing or wondered why things haven’t changed. But just as seeds take time to grow beneath the soil, so too does His plan for your life unfold in perfect rhythm. He has not forgotten you.

Romans 8:28 – "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

I Am Healing You – Restoration is Happening

There are wounds in you that no one else sees ; scars from abandonment, betrayal, or past mistakes. Some are so deep you’ve hidden them away, convinced healing isn’t possible. But God is reaching into those hidden places with tenderness. "You don't need to perform for Me. Just let Me in. Let Me restore what was broken." You’ve carried shame for too long. God says it’s time to lay it down. He’s not calling you to strive ; He’s calling you to rest in His love and receive His grace.

Jeremiah 30:17 – "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord."

Come Closer – Invitation to Intimacy

God is calling you back to Him. Not out of guilt, but out of love. He wants you to walk with Him, to know His voice, and to experience His peace daily. "Return to Me, and I will restore your joy. Let Me speak to your heart again. Let My Word be your anchor." He is not far away. He never was. He’s been waiting patiently for you to return to that quiet place ; to listen, to trust, and to be transformed in His presence.

James 4:8 – "Come near to God and He will come near to you."

Your Faith Matters – Trust is the Key

When nothing makes sense, when you feel forgotten or unseen ;your faith still matters. In fact, it is in those very moments when your faith shines brightest. "When you trust Me in the dark, it is worship. When you keep walking through pain, it is powerful." Even your doubts and questions don’t disqualify you. God is not asking you to be perfect ; He’s asking you to trust Him with your imperfections.

Hebrews 11:1 – "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

The Shift Has Begun – A New Season Is Unfolding

You may have sensed it — a stirring deep in your spirit. A gentle but undeniable change in the atmosphere of your life. That’s not your imagination. That’s the Spirit of God signaling a shift. "I am moving you from survival to strength, from despair to destiny. This is the beginning of something new." This shift is sacred. It’s not random. It’s strategic. God is not only healing your past; He’s preparing your future.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 – "To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven."

I’m About to Do Something in You and Through You

God is not just shifting things around you — He is transforming things within you. Your heart, your desires, your mindset — they’re being reformed to carry the weight of what He’s entrusting to you. "I’ve seen your hidden obedience, your quiet faithfulness, your tears behind closed doors. Now watch what I will do with it." What’s coming isn’t small. It’s a divine setup. There’s a mantle on your life — a specific assignment only you can fulfill — and God is activating it now.

Ephesians 2:10 – "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Stay Aligned, Stay Ready – Preparation for Purpose

With this shift comes responsibility — not pressure, but preparation. God is saying: "Stay in My presence. Don’t run ahead. Walk with Me. I’ll lead you step by step." He is preparing the connections, opportunities, and resources. You don’t need to chase them. They will find you when the time is right.

Proverbs 3:6 – "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Conclusion: The Shift Is Personal and Prophetic

God is preparing you for greater purpose, deeper healing, and meaningful impact. You are being called out of hiding and into divine visibility — not for ego, but for glory. "I love you. I see you. I know everything about you — and I still want you." Let the striving go. Let the guilt fall. Step into the love that has been pursuing you all along.

Philippians 1:6 – "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
