This group is for those who........
Suffer from depression and depression with anxiety. It is a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings with those who can understand and support you.
We will also focus on the causes, triggers and relationships which contribute to your depression and anxiety. This will be the first step in gathering tools and techniques to gain relief and control by way of healthy coping skills.
The kind of therapy we provide in this group is called:
"Cognitive" refers to our thoughts.
"Behavioral" refers to our actions.
Your thoughts and beliefs often effects your mood and how you preseve things. Depression has most to do with your feelings. It is important that you understand depression so that you can learn how thoughts and actions influence your feelings, so youi can have more control over your feelings of depression.
The group meetings are helpful because they:
allow time to share one's concerns with others,
provide support from others group members
help you realize that you are not alone
